Population growth is the driving factor behind Real Estate appreciation. In the United States, we can expect to have a population in excess of 365 million in 2030 compared to today's population of 296 million, a 23% increase. Texas' population is projected to grow from 23 million in 2005 to 33 million by 2030, a 43.5% increase. Rest assured that with our current immigration patterns as well as our population growth, there will be a continued need for housing in Texas.
Houston is the fourth largest metro area in the country. It has more Fortune 500 company headquarters than any other city in the United States except two. And, it is expected to continue experiencing its rapid economic and population expansion -- adding more than 1.2 million new jobs by 2025.
